Style is a funny thing. We all want it. We admire those who have it but it seems vain, selfish or superficial to go chasing it. The thing about style is… it doesn’t arrive overnight. It takes a little (or a lot) of work and usually changes over time.
As a personal stylist who is currently changing shape rapidly (thanks to being pregnant with my fourth bub) I know it can be easy to fall into a style slump. It’s hard to look into a wardrobe full of clothes and honestly feel “I have nothing to wear!” Here is my video explaining my 3 biggest style tips to help you find and love your personal style.
1. Wear What Fits
If it’s saggy and baggy or perhaps a little too snug you won’t feel comfortable. So ditch it. Go for comfort in the size that fits (no matter what that is). Watch my vid about size here.
2. Love The Colour
Pea green may be the colour of the season. That does not mean that you have to dress like your mums worst soup. Embrace colours that make your skin, eyes and hair shine and you will always feel amazing.
3. Get Inspired
The internet is a treasure trove of style advice. Stylists are no longer on secret speed dials to the stars, they are walking amongst you and better yet, sharing their tips all over the web. Head to Instagram and search hashtags like #Real Mum Style (hosted by yours truly) or #Everydaystyle (hosted by Nikki from Styling You) for some real life inspiration from everyday women. Pinterest and blogs are a bounty of tips and tricks for style too.
